We also visited Arcosanti, architect Paulo Soleri's life-long project in the desert. L Arcosanti is envisioned as a ecologically-sound urban settlement for 5000 people, on a footprint of just 5 acres, a design he calls an "Arcology". L This model shows Soleri's long-term vision for Arcosanti. The dark grey portion near the bottom is what's been constructed to date. L
